Hello, I am Sophie
I work as a project manager. I'm a parent and an expat residing in Brighton, United Kingdom.
Several years ago I moved here with my family. What began as a short-term assignment gradually became a new chapter living abroad.
How It Started
Moving to United Kingdom wasn't in the long-range plan. Like many international relocations, it began as a job opportunity and soon grew into something far greater.
The initial months were demanding — unfamiliar systems, new routines, new expectations. Everyday tasks seemed more challenging than expected.
The Adjustment Period
There was culture shock, doubt, and plenty of hands-on learning. But gradually routines settled in. We found places that fit us, connected with other families, and began crafting something that felt secure.
Why I Built LemoraVarenMero
Most information online was either high-level corporate relocation guidance or shallow tourism content. What was lacking was an honest, everyday family viewpoint.
This site aims to bridge that gap — practical advice drawn from real life in United Kingdom.
